Essex Safe Start Fund Coordinator

Safe Steps are looking to recruit into an exciting new pilot project designed to improve the options available for people experiencing domestic abuse.  The project aims to ensure that people experiencing domestic abuse can have access easily and quickly to ‘flexible funding’ to improve their safety and safe housing.

The ideal candidate will need to be highly motivated and committed to making a difference to the safety of individuals as well as the knowledge and skills to ensure the fund is appropriately managed.

Relevant experience of working within the domestic/sexual abuse sector is desirable, criminal justice or housing sector would be an advantage.  Experience of any budget or financial management would also be an advantage.

Salary:                               Further information upon request, but subject to qualifications and relevant experience – £22,000 – £25,000

Hours:                                37.5 hours per week

Annual leave:                   Commencing at 25 days per annum
